VISAT Engineering College
Affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, VISAT is an educational venture of the Vijnan Foundation. This institution was established in 2011 and the campus is located in the scenic parts of the district, along the Western Ghats, offering spectacular views of the mighty hill ranges. At Vijnan, we are focused towards delivering excellent standards of education by implementing innovative teaching methodologies, imparted by an esteemed and highly experienced faculty. We cover all disciplines of engineering including CE, CSE, ECE, EEE and ME through the courses offered for undergraduates.
This institution is affiliated to the A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technological University in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Furthermore, it has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education in New Delhi.

Inauguration of Forestry Club and Unnat Bharath Abhiyan Activities for the Year 2022-23.
Inauguration of Forestry Club and Unnat Bharath Abhiyan Activities for the Year 2022-23 was inaugurated at VISAT Engineering College by Sri A K Saseendran, Honourable Minister of Forest & Wildlife Protection, Govt of Kerala. The Function was organized under the aegis of National Service Scheme, VISAT Engineering College, and was presided by Chairman of VISAT Engineering College & UNISIS group of Companies Sri Raju Kurian. The dignitaries who attended the event included Sri V J George Kulangara, Founder of Labour India & Green World – Clean World Foundation, Rev Fr Johny Edakkara, Director, Snehadeepom Vellore and Mr Dojin John Member, Pampakuda Block Panchayat. The College has adopted Elanji, Piravom, Mutholapuram, Koothatukulam, Onakkoor, Monipally, Peruva and Thalayolaparambu villages as its socio-techno project area for developmental activities. The College intends to make its students socially responsible through this initiative.

Inauguration of Grand Placement Ceremony
Sri V N Vasavan, Honourable Minister of Cooperation and Registration, Govt of Kerala, inaugurated the function in which all the students of 2022-26 batch of VISAT Engineering College were provided with a placement offer by the UNISIS group of companies. The Company’s gesture is a significant boost to the students, who are aspiring for a bright future in the field of engineering. The placement offer reflects the commitment of VISAT Engineering College and the UNISIS group towards excellence in engineering education and research for creating professionally competent and socially committed engineers equipped to meet the developing technological and socio-economic needs. The minister's words of encouragement during his address have instilled confidence in the students, motivating them to work hard and achieve their career goals. The function was graced by the Member of Legislative Assembly of Piravom Constituency, Adv Anoop Jacob and Sri Raju Kurian, MD of UNISIS group.

PUBLIC FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (PFMS) - 21st & 22nd November 2022
PFMS was developed using an architecture which was envisaged in 2009, and as more functionalities have been added over the last few years, along with the ever-increasing depth and width of its operations, PFMS faces challenges of scalability and performance. The Public Financial Management System (PFMS) is a web-based online software application developed and implemented by the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. PFMS started during 2009 with the objective of tracking funds released under all Plan schemes of Government of India, and real time reporting of expenditure at all levels of Programme implementation. Subsequently, the scope was enlarged to cover direct payment to beneficiaries under all Schemes. Gradually, it has been envisaged that digitization of accounts shall be achieved through PFMS and beginning with Pay & Accounts Offices payments, the O/o CGA did further value addition by bringing in more financial activities of the Government of India in the ambit of PFMS. The primary function of PFMS today is to facilitate sound Public Financial Management System for Government of India by establishing an efficient fund flow system as well as a payment cum accounting network. PFMS provides various stakeholders with a real time, reliable and meaningful management information system and an effective decision support system, as part of the Digital India initiative of Government of India.
Research Methodology - Writing Effective Research Articles & Funding Proposals - 10th October 2022
This workshop will provide an overview on effective technical writing, with a focus on writing technical conference and journal papers. A good idea, while necessary, is not sufficient to get a conference and journal paper accepted. In the workshop, we will discuss guidelines for organizing and planning a conference paper, go over writing styles, and discuss how to avoid plagiarism. The workshop will be highly interactive.
